Make More Miles on VHF
This is the name of a German website run by Guido DL8EBW.
This website has become the information centre for worldwide VHF activity
both terrestrial and EME.
The terrestrial information not surprisingly has a strong European bias, but
not because of any prejudice against the rest of the world.
Any website reporting current activity can only reflect the information
passed to it for display.
On this website you will find announcements of all VHF Dx expeditions (both
EME and terrestrial, major and minor), contest stations, special events
etc..
You can filter the display to show only the information in which you are
interested, for example 144MHz, EME, and ALL types of activities, and then
sort the information on any column.
Double-click on any line, and the display will expand with full information
about the activity selected.
Any serious EME station should have this website bookmarked for regular
access.
Expeditions to rare countries sometimes run 1kW, but often much less.
They may also carry quite modest antenna arrays, so you usually need a
reasonable station to work them, but not always .....
So this is a site that beginners on EME should keep an eye on from time to
time, but particularly as your DXCC tally grows, and new countries become
harder to find.
